Yanick Brochu
Senior Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets
Yanick joined iA Capital Markets in 2021, bringing almost 25 years of industry experience. In his current role, he is responsible for managing the operations of the Research, Sales and Trading departments. Yanick also leads strategic projects aimed at improving the operational efficiency and interactions of teams across the firm, while ensuring all activities remain compliant with regulatory requirements.
Prior to joining iA Capital Markets, Yanick was Managing Director & Head of Equities at CIBC World Markets, where he was responsible for the Montreal institutional equity office. Prior to that, he was Vice-President, Sales and a Trader at Blackmont.
Yanick holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Concordia University.
Pierre-François Roy
Managing Director, Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets
With over 15 years at iA Capital Markets, Pierre-François currently serves as head of the syndication department and sits on the iA Wealth Management product approval committee. He previously oversaw the retail trading desk and advisor services, and was a branch manager for three years.
Prior to joining iA Capital Markets, Pierre-François was a financial advisor with another Canadian dealer and a licensed insurance representative. Before joining the securities industry, he owned and operated a marketing company in Chile, South America.
Pierre-François completed a Bachelor’s degree in finance at Laval University and holds the Derivative Market Specialist designation from the Canadian Securities Institute.
Yves Therrien
Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income
Yves joined the firm in 2012 and has over 30 years of experience in capital markets. As head of the bond desk, he oversees a team of traders and is responsible for ensuring that the desk adheres to its risk parameters and compliance requirements. Yves is also responsible for advising senior management on all matters relating to the desk’s activities.
In addition to his managerial role, Yves actively trades bonds for institutional clients and internal retail advisors across a variety of sectors, including REITs, oil and gas, telecommunications, infrastructure and retail.
Before joining iA Capital Markets, Yves spent 10 years as head of the fixed income division at Penson Financial Services. Prior to that, he was an accountant and bond trader at a boutique firm based in Montreal.
Yves studied accounting at the University of Montreal.
Adam Elliott
President, iA Private Wealth
A wealth management industry veteran with almost 25 years of experience, Adam Elliott joined iA Private Wealth in April 2023. He is responsible for the firm’s critical growth strategies and is dedicated to ensuring our advisors have the tools, resources and support they need to deliver consistently exceptional client service.
Prior to joining iA Private Wealth, Adam was President & CEO of iA Clarington Investments. In this role, he led the firm to record levels of AUM and net income by focusing the product shelf on differentiated, best-in-class mandates with proven portfolio management teams. Adam joined iA Clarington as National Sales Manager in 2018.
Adam previously spent 18 years in progressively senior roles at Dynamic Funds. Joining the firm as an Inside Sales Representative, he subsequently served as Vice-President, Business Development, Senior Executive, Business Development, and Regional Sales Manager for Ontario.
Adam earned an Honours BA in history from McGill University and is fully bilingual in English and French.
Pierre Lamy
Managing Director, Head of Foreign Exchange
Pierre has over 30 years of industry experience and is a recognized authority in OTC interest rate and currency derivatives.
Prior to joining iA Capital Markets, Pierre played a leading role in establishing the foreign exchange department at Echelon Wealth Partners. He previously held senior roles at BMO Capital Markets, where he was responsible for debt origination; National Bank Financial and CIBC World Markets, where he helped develop the interest rate and currency derivatives desks; and Desjardins, where he served as Vice-President of Business Development.
Pierre holds an MBA in Finance from HEC Montréal.
